#BTS Behind the Scenes: Los Angeles Textile Show

The Los Angeles Textile Show is one of my favorite sourcing shows to shop for materials, fabrics, and trims for the following seasons. This show not only sparks inspiration for new products we will be offering for you but also introduces us to new relationships with domestically located vendors.

If you are ever able to visit one of these shows, you will find hundreds of different textiles, trims, and prints from all over the world as well as the latest news on trends in textiles and fashion. This season was the Fall 2015 sourcing show, which took place at the California Market Center from September 29th to October 1st.

Since Wickliffe: Los Angeles is a domestically manufactured brand, I usually shop for materials for the next season (Spring 2015) while keeping notes of what inspires me for Fall 2015. Being able to get our products produced and out to you within 3-6 weeks (which is a fairly fast lead time) with great quality is important to us. At this show I tend to meet some pretty great domestically located suppliers who help us maintain our “Made in USA” values while offering us the best materials for each of our products.

Check out the images below for some the fabrics and items that inspired me for future products we will be making for you!
